Israel And Hamas Exchange Prisoners

BBC News reports The ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel has

been reached between the two sides, and the first three hostages

were released to Israel by Hamas, and nearly 100 prisoners were

returned to Hamas to begin the cease fire, in three phases.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a televised address

that Israel retains the right to resume the war in Gaza should

negotiations for a second phase of the ceasefire deal prove futile.

"If we need to resume fighting, we will do that in new ways and we will

do it with great force," the prime minister said.  In a second phase of

the cease fire, Hamas is supposed to release an additional 33

hostages and, in exchange, Israel will release roughly, 1,800

Palestinians from jails.
